Very thankful that we found The Dog & Davenport Arms today, its down a winding road to a tiny village called Worfield. We wanted a drink and perhaps food if we could. We arrived at 12 at opening and were greeted inside to great warmth from all! Very deceiving from the outside as it is much bigger than it looks with lots of room inside. We were surprised at how quickly the pub filled as it is quite rural, but the staff managed to accomodate us even though we had not booked. Really cosy atmosphere and such friendly staff. Very good ales on offer, good looking menu. I went for the Sunday Roast with pork, was gorgeous, my colleague went for the homemade steak and ale piewow too! We finished off with the sticky toffee puddingI can easily say I have never tasted a pud so good!!!! We wanted to stay as the atmosphere was so bubbly and friendly, I recommend wholeheartedly this little hidden gem, and despite living miles away I will be back. Great pub, great staff, great atmosphere, great food.

The Dog Inn is a friendly little place that's quite off the beaten track, tucked down a tight little lane in the tiny village of Worfield. The staff are very plesant, easy to chat to should you wish, and quite attentive. On the few occasions I've been to this pub it's never bneen busy, which surprises me as it serves decent real ales and the foods not bad either. There isn't much headroom if you're 6'6 like me, but then there are very few older establishments that are built for my size!
Not a bad pub at all.
